Born and raised in Madison, I've always played around with art. I finally now have time to explore what I 've always wanted to do with my creative side. I started by making hand made paper and then greeting cards. When my father was in a rehabilation from a car accident, they needed help. In order to balance my life at the time realizing how much help they needed, I began making collages. I called it my therapy art.
Most of my work is dimensional collages using a variety of materials starting with paper. I'm fond of inks and chalks to give depth to the color, followed by metal embellishments to add to the layers. I love to recycle bits of interesting items I find and add them to a piece I am working on. The best part is, I never know where it will take me when I start a project.
